The binding is very solid from cover to cover with nicely tight pages and nicely tight covers as well. The book is square and the spine is straight. There is only the usual bit of crinkling at the spine ends. The edges and corners are in excellent shape. The gilt lettering on the spine is nicely bright. You can see the covers of this book in the photos. One of them, co-written by Gerard Jones, The Beaver Papers: The Story Of The 'Lost Season', is also listed for sale. The inscription reads: 'For Billy- Too good a wit for me to try to be witty in front of- Gerard Jones, 11/4/04.' 'Billy' is Billy Frolick the American director (It is What it Is) and writer (co-wrote screenplay for Madagascar) who was in the process of moving from New York to California some years ago when I purchased a number of books from him. Signed and inscribed on the title page by the author to his friend Billy Frolick.
